Hi everybody, こんにちは皆さん

This is basicaly a rant, on SAO alt GGO, fair warning, If you’re a fan boy or hater it would do you some good to read another opinion,

We are 2 weeks into the Spring 2018 anime Season and there are some shows that are already killer and could be absolutely amazing, We have no way of confirming this other than watching them and confirming with our own eyes what is good or not.

That brings me to my next point: The inter-webs most loved anime to hate returns with a Spin off:

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online.

NO, NOT THAT ONE!!

THAT’S STILL THE WRONG ONE!! – IT’S NOT THE ONE WITH THE CRINGEY BASTARD, WHO’S BEING TRAILED BY THE KIRITO REJECTION CLUB!

There we go, now this is what I’m talking about!

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online.

I have just literally finished watching the first episode, and I can tell you, it looks pretty hype. After watching this I decided to browse around to see what other people had thought of the first episode, but instead I found a sesspool, melting pot of fan boys and haters alike dominating ALL the comments section and it put me off.

So let try and figure out why: We are dropped straight into the action with barely an introduction, the protagonist has entered into a Team Battle Royale, much like the Bullet of Bullet’s Tournament in the second season of the orginal anime.

However we don’t see too much of the story at this point, so it also pretty much up in the air as to what to expect from the series. So then, why do I think it’s hype?

If you are a gamer and especially an FPS gamer, wouldn’t you love a game where you could full dive into Battlefield, Call of Duty or Cryisis, or what ever your FPS preference is? If your answer is no, then you are not part of the vast majority of the world who is actually moving toward these technological advances.

This is part of the reason why the original Sword Art Online did so well and why we find Hollywood moving to this genre with the release of “Ready Player One”. This title has taken the world by storm and in such a short period of time is reaching $400 Million USD in the box office ahead of titles like: Tintin ($377 million in 2011), Edge of Tomorrow ($370m in 2014) and Mad Max: Fury Road ($377m in 2015).

So what does this all mean?

It means that the virtual full dive technology literally is on everybody’s mind, and I honestly I do not care how much you love or hate the original SOA it is the technological possibilities which take escapism to the extreme, it is what scientist are striving for and is what gamers are praying for, this is the points which make it good, and you cannot help imagining: “If only I could full dive into a game”.

So making a conscious decision based on the original is like saying: “I hate lasagne because I hate Mac and Cheese” or for the fan boys,”I love Mac and Cheese because I love lasagne”, this kinda of reason is illogical and makes no sense. Doing this makes you biased and makes the world want to look and you and shake it’s head.

My advice is, until further notice, watch Sword Art Online Alternative: GGO like it’s own anime. Do not compare it to it’s predesessor because as of the first epidose it has nothing to be compared with except the virtual MMO.

Anyways this was just a rant, like a said. So in hind sight you can feel however you want about something, just don’t spread your cancer.

This is aniblog: signing off.

Sore ja ne..
それじゃね
